We have one of the longest track records in the ILS market, having managed ILS portfolios for over 20 years across multiple reinsurance market cycles. Since 2003, our team has established itself as a global leader in managing ILS. Each member brings highly specialized expertise and experience across ILS structuring, reinsurance underwriting, catastrophe modeling, capital markets and institutional asset management.

We are regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in Switzerland as authorized manager of collective assets pursuant to the Federal Act on Financial Institutions (FinIA) and are classified as an “exempt reporting adviser” in reliance upon the “private fund adviser exemption” adopted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) under Section 203(m) of the Advisers Act.

We further leverage our extended sourcing, underwriting and risk transformer platform inter alia through Bernina Re Ltd. Bernina Re Ltd is a Bermuda domiciled Class 3A licensed reinsurer, regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority with its head office in Bermuda and maintains a branch in Switzerland.

In 2024, Euler ILS Partners became a fully independent management-owned company following over 20 years as part of Credit Suisse. Why Euler?

Our name pays homage to Leonhard Euler and the field of mathematics. The Swiss-born mathematician (1707-1783) is one of the most prolific and influential mathematicians in history. He has shaped the foundations of modern mathematics, probability theory and risk modeling. Euler’s identity, optimization techniques and statistical models remain central to financial mathematics and risk management today. His legacy embodies the intellectual rigor, precision, and innovation that we strive to reflect in our investment philosophy and risk frameworks.
